Chandler Walnuts
Chandler is the most widely planted walnut variety in Chile, and the world's benchmark for premium quality. With an average kernel yield of 47–49%, it stands out for its exceptionally light interior color, very thin shell, and easy cracking — making it the first choice for retail and gourmet markets worldwide.
Grown in Chile's uniquely protected agricultural zones — shielded by the Andes, the Pacific Ocean, the Atacama Desert, and Antarctica — Chandler walnuts benefit from a pristine environment free of pests and diseases common elsewhere. Harvested between April 10–15, they arrive in markets during the Northern Hemisphere's off-season, ensuring year-round supply for importers.

Interior Color Classification
Chandler is graded by kernel color — the lighter the grade, the higher the market value. Over 90% of Chilean Chandler kernels achieve the top two grades.
Extra Light
The highest grade. Pale cream kernels with no discoloration. Represents 80–85% of Chilean Chandler yield.
Light
Slightly deeper cream tone, still considered premium. Accounts for 10–15% of production.
Light Amber
A warm amber tint, fully intact and high quality, representing 5–10% of the harvest.
Amber
The deepest grade, comprising only 1–2% of Chandler output.
Why Choose Chandler?
Thin Shell
Chandler's notably thin shell makes cracking effortless and minimizes kernel damage during processing — resulting in more whole kernels and less breakage loss.
Premium Market Value
Its unrivalled Extra Light color ratio commands the highest prices in retail, gourmet food, and private-label markets across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
Consistent Quality
Certified under Chilean Walnut Commission and ProChile standards, every shipment undergoes rigorous laboratory analysis and on-site inspection before export.
